Le pont du GardThe Pont du Gard was built by the Romans in the 1st century AD. In fact, it is not a bridge, but the most important vestige of the aqueduct that transported water from the Eure spring in Uzès to Nîmes for five hundred years. Nearly 35,000 m3 of water were transported every day through the aqueduct, which supplied drinking water to the city's inhabitants, but also to its thermal baths, fountains and gardens.

Le château de LussanAbout twenty kilometres north of Uzès, Lussan offers, from the top of its ramparts, a vast panorama of the Cévennes, the Ardèche mountains and the Mont Ventoux. Along its narrow streets, the town reveals several centuries of history, from the conflicts between Catholics and Protestants to the advent of silk production. Lussan is one of the "most beautiful villages of France".

Une rue de Saint-Quentin La PoterieSituated in the middle of the forests and garrigue of the Uzège, 3 km from Vallabrix, Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie is a village away from mass tourism but alive thanks to the permanent presence of craftsmen, potters of course, and many shops open all year round.

You will find all the shops as well as 2 farmers' markets, on Tuesday and Friday.

Since 2014, Margot Atlan is happy to share her passion for horses and competition with you. The stables are located in Vallabrix on 7 hectares, in the middle of nature in an idyllic setting. Throughout the year, riding lessons for all levels and all ages are given by state-qualified instructors. The equestrian centre also offers training courses, gallop courses, theme days...

Nestled on a former sand quarry, the Air de Nature was born in the forest of Castagniers and Broussières, which is more than 70 years old. If you climb up, the adventures begin and you get to know the tree tops and the nearby hills. Good sensations!

La fontaine de la Place aux Herbes un jour de marchéThe first market on the Place aux Herbes was organised in 1241! The markets of Uzès (Wednesday and Saturday) are thus among the oldest and most important markets of the Gard, considered among the most beautiful markets of France.

The Saturday market of Uzès, with its 200 exhibitors, is famous for its colours, its smells, its conviviality. It is an emblematic place very popular with tourists during the summer season. Uzès has acquired a reputation over the years thanks to the authenticity that reigns there.

Kayak Vert - Pont du Gard What an emotion to pass under the Pont du Gard in kayak ! 2,000 years of history await you! A family activity par excellence, you can choose the distance you wish to cover according to your physical condition, from 8 to 30 km for the most daring!  

Village de La Roque sur Cèze La Roque-sur-Cèze, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, is about 30 minutes from Vallabrix. The village is built on a rocky outcrop overhanging the Cèze, which is spanned by an old bridge with twelve arches. Dominated by the remains of an ancient castle and its Romanesque chapel, the village with its steep streets and houses of blonde stone with genoises offers a breathtaking view over the Cèze valley. If you go there, take the opportunity to visit the Sautadet waterfalls.

Les cascades du SautadetThe Sautadet waterfalls are a series of waterfalls located on the Cèze river, near La Roque-sur-Cèze, in the Gard department.

The Céze has dug channels and cavities that eventually join to form crevasses into which the river rushes. It is spectacular!

Les arènes de NîmesNîmes, was an important outpost during the Roman Empire. It is known for its well-preserved monuments, such as the Arena, a two-storey amphitheatre built in about 70 AD, still used for concerts and bullfights. The Maison Carrée, a white limestone Roman temple, is about 2,000 years old. Stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, and you will discover some beautiful corners...

Le château d'Uzès, la nuitthe Ducal Castel called the "Duchy" is by its architecture a summary of the history of France. The Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Age of Enlightenment and the Modern Age are all present. Despite this, the architectural composition offers a beautiful harmony to the eye. It can be visited and the view of the Duchy from the top of the Bermonde Tower is just breathtaking.

Le train à vapeur des Cévennes

The Cévennes steam train is a tourist train that runs between Anduze and Saint-Jean-du-Gard. The train usually serves three stations: Anduze, Saint-Jean-du-Gard, la Bambouseraie.

The route allows you to admire the meeting of the three Gardons, to observe an old mill, all this in the Cévennes vegetal atmosphere. 

La Bambouseraie

Classified as one of the most beautiful gardens in France, la Bambouseraie in the Cévennes, a unique experience of complicity with nature. This exceptional botanical garden reveals more than 1000 varieties of bamboo, trees and remarkable plants, making the Bamboo Garden an exclusive place. 

Avignon - Palais des papesAvignon is crossed by the Rhône. From 1309 to 1377, the Catholic popes took up residence in the city. The city remained under papal rule until 1791, when it became part of France. The Palace of the Popes, which is located in the city centre, is surrounded by medieval stone ramparts that bear witness to this history. Also, take a look at the Pont Saint-Benezet, where it is said that people dance!

In the heart of the Cèze Valley, Goudargues is an oasis of coolness, peace and quiet. The "La Fontaine" canal, shaded by centuries-old plane trees, is the heart of the village. It is a very pleasant place to stroll, relax and stop at one of the many terraces for lunch or dinner. The charm of the place has earned Goudargues the nickname of "Little Venice of the Gard".

Aiguèze is a village classified as a Most Beautiful Village in France, located in the north-east of the Gard. Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Ardèche, the Valat d'Aiguèze, the Valat de Saint-Christol and by various other small streams.

It is one of the most beautiful dune systems in the northern Mediterranean basin.

The Camargue Regional Nature Park is located on the Mediterranean coast, inside the Rhône delta, mainly between the two arms of the river. It extends over 3 communes: part of the commune of Arles and Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône and the entire commune of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.
